Dolphin Mario Kart Double Dash screenshots!

I spoke to the anonymous author of Dolphin today, the GameCube emulator for Windows I'm sure you've all heard of by now. I also received a couple of screenshots, and they're showing very promising progress of the emulator!

The screenshots are of Mario Kart Double Dash, and I'll just let the screenshots do the talking and you do the drooling:

but if dolphin could show such good graphics with Zelda: WW (polygons and all), why can it only show wireframe with MK: DD?

is MK: DD on a higher level than Z:WW (if that's the way to put it)? Or is the author doing some testing with wireframe? I don't exactly know how the emu works.

Different games use different methods and such to display graphics, like the different uCodes for n64, and theres always differences in games which will cause them to act differently, just coz one game looks good doesnt mean another will.

Wow, they are really flying with this thing! I don't think the Dolphin authors sleep. We should start a fund to help them purchase No-Doz.

Heheh, I loved the last emulator by "the anonymous author", I'm sure this one will be just as good or even better than the last!
...Oh and I enjoyed the "^_^", it gave me a laugh. You people at the forums may not understand what I am talking about, but I'm sure the author will ;)
I can't wait to see more from the Dolphin.

wow, i wonder what kinda specs its gunna take to run a gc game @ full speed.....give this emulator a year, and omfg its gunna be awesome.

Start funding this guys!!!!

but we got to watch that they not become greedy and start doing for the cash because that is not the point of emulation''we just want to play our great games''

this mabye a breaktrough suggestion but because i cant fund it my self this will make someone else very rich.............

MAKE A GAMECUBE LOOK A LIKE FOR WINDOWS (USB)...IT WILL SELL LIKE CRASY

loads of screenies... couple of vids... still VAPORWARE. when I can download and test for myself, a GC emu that lets me play zelda and Metroid to the end with little to no bugs, then come wake me up. (yawn)

and 1 game working different than another is because of the HLE'd shit. it CAN'T be accurate and never will be. a low level emulation of the cpu, sound, and video hardware would play every game perfectly (although extremely slow). Different games using different abilities of the hardware is no excuse for crappy emulation. Sure MAME has bugs, but they are documented and constantly being worked on. For systems that don't have errors documented, the emulation is perfect no matter what game you try that was on that system. Now THAT's an emulator

what shite r u smoking?! :luck: no one mentioned anything about money in the first place.

a usb gc look a like for windows? a) it wont happen b) they'd get their asses sued, c) wah i want whatever ur smoking! :smurf:
