It's probably because TV-outs only work right in certain resolutions and depths. Try it at 800X600X16.

It's probably because the refresh rate in certain MAME games isn't 60hz... it can be 56 or something and U.S. TVs display at 60. So you should use "sync game to monitor refresh" in the MAME options. If that doesn't work there's also AdvanceMAME that's made to fix any problems when playing it on a cabinet or TV.

You could also try SmoothMAME. This MAME varient forces all games with a refresh rate of 50Hz or higher to run at exactly 60Hz. This means a lot of games will speed up slightly, while a few may slow down slightly. Any games with refresh rates of 30, 40 or 45Hz are not touched as the increase in speed would be too great.

I tested SFA e Csclub, and both had problem. The special bar almost couldn't been seen. The image is perfect, it's the screen that looks misplaced. How do the image looks in a diferent rate????

I didn't want to use other MAME because it has to be a DOS version, for my snes adapter. The advancemame is very hard to configure, I wasn't able to make it work in my monitor!!!! not a chance in the TV...

You can try using Mame32 because you can set the screen resolution for each game. You can also set the refresh rate and other stuff. It also uses the same controller configurater as the original mame but it works in windows without having to use command lines.
