Quote from the author or9

- Dolwin have Gekko interpreter (w/o paired singles though).

- has fast cache emulation.

- has Windows GUI debugger, we planning to add "old-school" console (like one in UltrraHLE)

- it runs PONG and a bunch of unreleased DesktopMa demos. Such as ARKANOID, CACHE, PADTEST, COLORTEST etc

Note: The Binary is available from the URL at the top of this post :D

Cool, hopefully they will create a webpage and hopefully a forum. Nice to see that DM is producing stuff to run on it too. :D I wonder if it's a complete Gekko interpreter, w/o paired singles whatever that is? It would be nice if Lemmy and or9 teamead up but they are probaly a step ahead of us already...

Remote, what do you mean without paired singles? They'd have to do something really creative to get around that... it'd ruin speed too. ROFL.

I'm not a native english speaker so everything doesn't pop up as obvious, so what is it? Is it a joke, pairs - singles...

Ah... well one of Gekko's cooler features (and the reason it's hands down faster than Xbox's 733MHz Pentium-Hybrid) is that it can calculate 32-bit operations in pairs (paired singles - single full precision being 32-bit and running them in pairs). It's almost like having two processors in parallel... except it has some restrictions.

In other words, any remotely optimal Gekko code will not run on that interpreter yet.
