If you have completed Metroid Fusion, linking the two games will unlock the ability to play the original NES Metroid in Metroid Prime. Saving is done directly to your GameCube Memory Card.
If you have completed Metroid Prime, you can wear Samus' Fusion suit from Metroid Fusion in Metroid Prime.

You will have to find the GBA BIOS for this to work, thanks to Lobo for the info
1. Start VisualBoyAdvance
2. Go to: Options/Emulater, click (Use BIOS File)
3. Go to: Options/Emulater, click (Select BIOS File)
4. Select GBA.BIOS
5. Close VisualBoyAdvance
6. Restart VisualBoyAdvance
7. Load Metroid Fusion rom and sound will work

hmmm i'd be suprised if there wasnt one on megagames.com that site is so useful for walkthroughs :)
And somebody cant run this game at a decent speed, i sugest a Flash linker & card, they rule and let u play GBA roms on the real GBA they are well worth it and u can delete any rom you dont want off it :)

Anyone else have a sound problem with it on VBA? I used GBA.BIOS, but.. it plays some background beat through the entire game. Is that normal? It sounds fine on Boycott Advance, but I can only get about 40fps there.

October 30th, 2002, 19:15

gotta work on that 40% though. ;)
Khan artist: Are you serious? i810 must have bad directdraw hardware support. Put it on "DDRAW Emulate Only" in video options and see if it helps. With my GF4 MX 420 i can get 99-125% (when there are extreme amounts of explosions and transperencie effects on the screen it drops down to the high 80's) with a frameskip of 3 on all resolutions, gfx settings, 44KHZ sound, etc.

Overall this game is just awesome, but I liked Super Metroid little bit more.It is a must have...

ya, its hard..you gotta
-drop down,
-freeze it,
-open the door and goto the next room
-break wall in next room freezing X-SA if necessary
-run like a pussy ;)
-hide behind the tall block at the end
for anyone whos farther than me...do you have hints on beating the boss that can manipulate gravity?

The gravity Boss sucks indeed, don't have a tip for this one...I think its the hardest Boss of them all
pj64er
November 3rd, 2002, 16:34
ok then :P didnt see that, im tho my part too (i beat it with brute force...not running away even when its right in my face)
now im stuck in a series of rooms after the restricted area got ejected. ive bombed/missiled every wall floor and ceiling, all i see is a whole lot of locked doors..
Doomulation
November 3rd, 2002, 20:47
pj64er, in the room where there's a door you can't access, jump onto the ladder, charge a missile and shoot it on the wall. A path will open and you'll be able to get to the next part.
About the gravity boss, i just found out it's pretty easy :)
Just avoid the idiot and blow his face full of super missiles when you can. He'll go down in no time.

I'm in the same place, and it's closed off in that room too. I think it's the blocks for the screw attack. And there's no way to get out, heh.

doom, i didnt know how to get past the part just before that, now that i do, you helped me out for the the part after :P
welp, you guys can now add me to the list of people who beat this game :P i got 42% in 3:48.
kaotic, you have to go to the room with the drooling monsters beneath the floor. kill two, and let the X fuse to create a golden space pirate. you have to kill one or two of them (shoot them in the back), the locked door in this room will open. then you get the item, then you do what doom said.

57% - 3:50-something i believe.
with a single sentence from a FAQ author - "there are other ways in which you can bypass the Nav rooms and access other sectors, using the Screw Attack" - i am hunting for the missing stuff.
so far: 15/20 ETanks
40/48 Missile Containers
22/32 PBombs.
Yeaahhhh. after slugging away at every wall next to an empty space (according to the map) with the Screw Attack I'm uncovering underground passageways leading from sector to sector :)
Call it "Journey to the Centre of the Station" :D

November 5th, 2002, 11:35

November 6th, 2002, 21:18
i found 100% items too (didnt even have to use a gamefaqs guide), but i beat it in 9+ hours so i didnt get to see Samus with her pink underwear. oh well fuc it, im sick of this game.
super metroid was way better.
Renegade
November 7th, 2002, 01:01
when i say "agonizing three hours" i meant three MORE hours. altogether the game took me a good six hours :satisfied at least according to the clock. real time? oh, nine hours, give or take a few minutes.
I did seek help for finding a few items in sectors 6 and 4, but from there i knew where to search, and how to do so ;) some were found accidentally.
but it was mainly the mention of other routes that permitted bypassing of the Nav rooms.
edit: to h-e-l-l-o, you can get the PBomb pack by doing this:
1. start from the lower left end of the room and start running
2. soon you'll hit speed booster speed - before you run into the wall, press down to store speed power (when Samus enters glowing mode, she enters what i call "Shinespark mode")
3. do a spin jump onto the ledge and stand at the bottom of the slope there
4. tap A once to get Samus into boost position, and press left to make her do a shoulder ram
5. she'll sail into the slope and start running! quick, the moment you step onto the speed booster blocks, start space jumping to the left - still at the boost speed
6. aim for the top of the chamber containing the power bomb pak
7. you will smash through the roof (made up of speed booster blocks) and getting the bomb pak is easy from there

Here (see attachment) this will help you people to get the full 100% if you realy want that. I am still in the beginning of the game (third boss) and get my ass kicked all the time (hard to play using laptop keyboard). But the game is fun but not ass good looking / feeling has Super Metroid on the Super Nintendo which is much better then the GameBoy Advance version in my opinion.

Ridley looks so much more fierce in MF.
But he SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, you could aim anywhere and plaster his sexy body with bloody missiles until he goes to hell.
and what happened to the uber-strong grab-and-slam-you-into-a-wall-while-you-struggle-helplessly attack??? he grabs you, yes, but causes only like 20+ damage in the process.
even the SA-X was nuts :plain2:

yea, i think he was there just so that you actually fought a metroid, therefore making this a metroid game. he was no challenge at all, and i dont think he was meant to be.
if you ask me, the first security robot encounter was the hardest. His weak point it tiny, and is hard to shoot because he keeps moving. Then theres the towers of fire to keep you on your toes. To make matters worse, samus still dont have most of her 'abilities'.
sa-x was easy once i realised that its beams can be made ineffective. ridley was easy...Renegade explained why. Even nightmare goes down pretty quickly against brute force.

stay on the ground. shoot the sa-x with a missile to freeze it. charge your weapon, jump over the sa-x, turn around. shoot it. repeat.

November 11th, 2002, 07:40
there just doesn't seem to be enough time to charge your beam after freezing it. but if thats the way it has to be done...
Doomulation
November 11th, 2002, 12:10
Nah, there's other ways.
I used one of which made me only loose 3 lives (energy tanks) against the boss :D
Shortly, lure the sa-x to the ground (the main point is to make it not use the screw attack on you). Remember to charge your beam all the time. Shoot the sa-x when it comes to the ground.
It will then try to screw attack into you (as a security precaution, i suppose, otherwise it'd be just too easy). He'll go vertically or horitorzonolly (really, i don't see how it can do the vertical one, though, 'cuz you can't do it, neither in this game nor the previous? lol).
Anyway, if he jumps vertically, jumps over it and shoot it. If it jumps the horitozonal way, run under it. Then shoot it.
If it would summersault into you, don't jump away; RUN away while your invicibility lasts. And as for a last advice, you can screw attack through his shots. Don't go too far up or away from it, though, or it'll chase you around using the screw attack; and you can't get away from it, 'cuz it's faster than you.
Piece a cake if you do it right, really. Otherwise just try to get all the e-tanks.
Btw cooliscool, you cheater :P that's cheating, no doubt!
Nice pic, though, heh.
