i am trying to run mario kart 64. it keeps giveing me the illegal error message.is the game a bad rom. if not how do i play it

hmmm mario kart is a pretty damn easy game to emulate on most n64 emus these days, try a program called good64, it varifys your roms authencity

that means that it is an unknown rom and is bad. the only thing left to do is to find another copy that is a good dump.

as long as nobody posts rom links he is OK, doesnt matter if ppl trade as long as they trade elsewhere (I.E E-mail, Msn, PM etc)

how do you emulate .rar files

Rar files is a compression scheme like zip file.

Use winrar (http://www.rarlab.com/) to extract it.

and btw, to emulate a rar file simply press alt+f4 now ;)
