Paper Mario graphical glitches on Voodoo3

I've been trying Paper Mario ( (U), checked with GoodN64) on Project64 and I'm getting fairly reasonable graphics, except the flicker bug and some graphical trails (eg. the main menu, the postbox scene). It's happened on both 1.2 and 1.3 D3D plugins, so is this just a problem with my Voodoo3 or is it a generalised flaw? Same thing happens with 1964 too.

PS: Anyone know what CLSugarman's second Voodoo fix was? I could never find it through the forum search engine.

Umm, this time, I'm glad to report its not the Voodoo. This is a known issue. Its somewhot improved in 1.4 but not a whole lot.

Well, for 1.3 it seems the flickering is core, and the main graphical trails seem to be my Voodoo3, the trails disappear when I use RGB Emulation with Jabo's D3D. Looks like my V3 doesn't render the background. Although weirdly, I get flickers in some places with RGB where I don't in D3D HAL.
