conker question

this question is about the rocket launcher. I know that it is blacked out but is it because of the framebuffer? I don't think this because while using it, I was able to see a thin line that shows some background. So I think that there is a black layer covering it. Has anyone been able to get the framebuffer working for conker? It always freezes after enabling it so I can never see if this theory is true.
