Speed issue in Harvest Moon

It's a strange one, and it only happens in Harvest Moon on Project 64 (other emulators don't play HM as well in other aspects though).

The top left portion of the farm makes the game run really slow when it's on screen, a similar thing happens at the vineyard and at some festivals.

I have a GeForce 2 MX card, does anybody have any suggestions?

Change the counter factor

Set the counter factor setting to CF 1.

Harvest Moon 64 *REQUIRES* counter factor 1.

I was on CF2 and CF1 is identicle. No speed change

Okay its perfect now, I lowered my desktop resolution to 16bit and voila

No, it was the counter factor, trust me!

I doubt it very much, it's to do with 32 or 24 BPP.
It's the couter factor, but if you didn't notice a difference,
it's because you didn't reset the ROM. After changing the CF to 1
from 2, unlike 1964, you *must* reset the ROM. It probably
was the speed was noticed, becaused you resetted the ROM,
and right the second you changed the CF, no difference, because,
you didn't reset the ROM.
