I remember that this poll was on the emu64 frontpage a time ago.
Zelda OoT won and Zelda: a link to the past was 2nd.
But I don't remember the other...

i would have to say oot, but i finished the oracles awhile ago and with the linking it is great! they really are cool

December 19th, 2001, 03:42
ur rite Macca, i liked it too, but it made the second game too easy becuz u hav great equipment already.

i wish they would release the third part, rumor has it that it was completed, but not released (a la StarFox 2 - SNES)

Macca
December 19th, 2001, 06:36
i heard there was a third one but i read that it was semi completed and then the scrapped it but used some of the dungeons in the other games and just shanged them a little. But then again what do i know? i'm just a useless bastard :p

pj64er
December 20th, 2001, 23:12
Macca, i heard that all three was completed, the third one was similar (remake? update?) to the original zelda. however, it was not released because the debugging of the three and their interaction (linking, password thing) would cost too much and take too long.

and a third one makes alot of sense, the two released ones had two of the three spirits from Zelda 64, Din and Nayru, what about Farore?

blizz
December 21st, 2001, 01:27
there was a third, and it was basically scrapped half way through, mainly because of all of the passwords, time, cost and the GBA was coming out.

You left The Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons out of the poll. :P

They aren't that great graphically, but they kept me busy for a few days.

BTW, all Zelda games to date rule. Zelda is my favorite series of games.

Well, I played every Zelda game since Zelda for NES to OoT, and, even if I LOVED each of them, I am sure that Zelda OoT is the best game I EVER played (be it one from Zelda series or not!).
After all, it is the latest one (well, I did'nt play entirely MM, but from the few things I have seen, I'd put it quite under OoT... I'll play it soon, I promise! :) ), and it built an entire world where you could 'live', in a certain way. Well, I played it from the beginning to end 6/7/8 times (who is keeping the count?) and I still get crazy at seeing the morning light over Hyrule castle, or a sunset over Lake Hylia... aahhh!!
Well, sorry if I got carried away, but I HAD to say I love this game more than any one else!!! :)

Bye Zelda fans!

If the Oracle series had the graphics of A Link To The Past, they would be the best for sure. Someone should make an SNES hack of them.

a link to the past was the best, very mysterious game

Its not about hacking in that case....Its about converting, which if someone knew how to open and play with GB games they could rewrite the opcodes and graphics to play in a SNES Emulator.

How many "your favourite Zelda game" polls are there???
One of them is mine, but I think there are two more (this one and another)

Heck, why do no one like zelda2 for nes? It's overall the best game in the serie...

OoT is ok too, but 2 is better because it's harder...

Somehow, Zelda 2: The Adventure Of Link is the only Zelda game that didn't catch my attention.

I didn't like too much the N64 ones because of the graphics (they should have used cell-shading there)
Hey Doom, I tried to play some more with Link's Adventure, and I liked it, but it's hell hard!

I think majora's mask r0x

Anchel
September 19th, 2002, 16:51
Majora's Mask is a good game, no doubt, but Nintendo should have done it much longer than that with better storyline

Ocarina of Time 4 EVER :)

yogaman
September 23rd, 2002, 12:49
apart from the legend of zelda (nes) the storyline in Ocarina time is the BEST..... but I think nintendo has sucked out every tiny little bit from zelda that future sequels won't have a proper plot!

It's a really nice game, doesn't get boring ('cos it's way too short) but with a bad storyline. Try it RPG, and stop playing UT2k3 all the time :D
