Well, without sounding too thick i have come across an error msg saying: "Current controller dll could not be used please select another one".

The FAQ suggests that i should uninstall the prog and re-install it but it didnt work. What on earth can i do?

Umm the fAQ is also supposed to suggest you install a suitable version of DirectX

Thanks Mate your a real gentleman.
It worked a treat by installing direct x 8. What must of happened is that my previous version of direct x was erased when i formatted the HD.

It even occurs when changing the audio plugin. To change the audio plugin, I must edit the registry by hand!! If you click "cancel"
in the plugins selection dialog, it wont occur. This must be put in known issues!!:!!!: :!!!: Also, notice that the input plugin is not listed.

Notice that PJ64 1.3 (definitely a bug), made the registry value (for the input plugin), "(null)"...
