i don't know where your theory is coming from cause pretty much all of my fav games are better than sequels.

MM has some great touches but most of the time it just drives me up the wall, especially snowhead, I put the game down for ages when I got stuck there

I liked the atmosphere of the game and the constant ticking away of time but the goron racing just annoyed me.

The think I most hate of MM is the annoying time system which makes u to have to redo some things twice or thrice, so I only beat the first temple and returned to OoT... but I'll have to finish MM some day anyway.

If we are talking about the all of the zelda-s my favourite is zelda III. It has a good story. Graphic - it cannot be compared with its new brothers oot and mom but its good.

Which of the two games is better? - According to me the Ocarina of Time is better. But of course somebody can say the opposite. Finally I can say the Mr. Mayamoto (what the heck is this name?) is a genius and the whole zelda "generation" is excelent.

I don't know but when I have saw a screen shot from the gc zelda i would vomit (is that the word?). Its graphic was something like a powerpuff or dexter's laboratory cartoon. I think nintendo have made an internal decision to develope the miyamoto franchies towards the "kids" since that is how they are percieved in the market and develop new ones for a "mature gamer"

having said that the cynic in me thinks they chose this style to regain the Japanese market since they love that chibi style ;)

also there is supposed to be a Golden Sun RPG in the works and hopefully they'll use a style which doesn't involve Cell Shading

My only hope is there will be another zelda for gc (like zelda mom for n64) and won't be in "cartoon mode :colgate:". So we just have to wait, that's all (oo, i forgot, not only wait, but also hope :) ).

Pj64er, you are right, it's not only the gfx, but I will not feel the difference between the new zelda-s and the old ones. If the game looks perfect (perfect=awesome gfx, sound, music, gameplay) every self-respecting gamer would buy it. And you maybe know that if one of this components is not right (i.e. the gfx in this case) ... than what are we talking about, so... I hope that this cartoon style is a good thing...

ur speaking as if the gfx is lacking! if u look at it technically, it is the best cel shading yet. i just found it odd that a change of gfx style would distract ppl so much from what makes a Zelda game Zelda-y(or -ish).

feck, if gfx mean so much to u, then ur not a true Zelda fan. That goes to anyone else who thinks that the game is now ruined because nintendo had a change of gfx style.

Plus those were NOT the original design. it was a tech demo to wow the crowds at Spaceworld.

I think the original design was meant to be something similar to the CG seen in the Oracles adverts

I freaked out the first time I saw Chibi Link but I'm happier with Chibi Link mainly because the more traditional Link that appeared first was just a little bit too fay for my liking to be the hero, and cute stuff sells well in Japan,

they ought to drop the Looney Toons humor though, because that isn't funny anymore, unless it's on Farscape ;)

also, i also realize that the reason nintendo gave made sense. they said something along the lines of it giving them creative freedom. it makes sense, when u think about it. now that link is like a cartoon, nintendo can throw any new play elements to the game without making the game unrealistic.

In my humble opinion all Zelda's are good some are less good then others but they're still good.

I'm a little dissapointed about the GC version new look using the same technique as Jet Set Radio did on the DC.

I have played and Beaten every zelda game ( the real ones anyway) except for MoM and here is the order I put them in from best to worst.

1. OOT. (Best game I have ever Played for any System.)
2. Link to the Past. (wonderful Story)
3.Oracle of Season (slightly better of the 2 Oracle Games)
4.Oracle of Ages
5.The Legend Of Zelda (the first one we all fell in love with)
6.Links Awakening (final Boss WAY to easy
7.Adventures of Link (SUCKED!!!!)

Mmkay. OoT is better than MM.

1) In OoT, you get to play as Adult Link.
2) Princess Zelda is missing!!!!!
3) You are supposed to save Zelda in some way, that's how it has been in almost all games, but not MM.
4) Too little challenge. There's only 4 temples to beat. In OoT, there was much more.
5) Who cares about all masks? They could've removed some from this to make more temples.
6) This was a new game dammit, but the battle control was just as before! (Maybe not as bad)
7) Not much tresures. These were usually found outside temples. Not in previos games!
8) Last boss way to easy with the deity fairy's mask! It's just shot & he's dead!

These are some examples on why OoT is better than MM.

Ya, shigeru miyamoto didnt just have less influence, he had next to no influence at all, not only that, but a different composer did the music, or at least what music wasnt recycled from OOT, even tho MM is recycled from ocarina, it is still a good game, tho IMO not as good, and polished, as OOT
