I was wondering if i would be able to run all games at full speed on full gfx settings and stuff on a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64mb?My other specs are :

AMD Athlon XP 1.53ghz
512MB SDRAM
80GB HDD
Windows XP Pro

Also...how much smoother would the gfx and gameplay be with a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64mb than a GeForce 2 Ti 64mb?

ok nevermind my last post...will a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128mb DDR be able to make all games run smoothly on full settings with my specs?

Also...would a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128MB DDR make games run way smoother and have better gfx than a GeForce 2 Ti 64mb?

Better graphics? Perhaps. Smoother? Yes.

Looking for insane frame rates at mad-dog crazy levels of detail with the swankiest new games? Maybe.

If you have the money, and you want some better performance, then just get the damn part.:sly: I personally wouldn't buy any lower than a 4400 though. :colgate:

surely a little overclocking cant do no harm if needed on the video card, although im sure the card will do better than my gf2, which is still think works fine.

Nooooo! The 128mb version of the ti4200 is SLOWER than the 64mb version of the ti4200!!! TRust ME!! Thats why its good to get the step right above, the ti4400, my card, cause you do get 128mbs of ram in video, AND you get clocked core and memory speeds;)

Meh...
hey josep would an msi gf4 ti4200 128mb be better than a gf4 ti4200 64mb cause its overclocked at 250mhz and 550mhz memory speed i believe.

32MB geforce2 GTS / 128MB geforce4 ti4600 300/660
WinXP
test used: 3DMark 2001 se -default bench

score:
32MB geforce2 GTS: 3529 points
128MB geforce4 ti4600: 8233 points

hehe, calm down, he just wants to know the difference, lets put it this way, i can run, ut2003 at the highest resolution(just under the 1600x1200 one) anti-aliasing 4xS, highest details obviously, just everything maxed out, and i get a steady 55fps, yea it drops sometimes in some crazy scenes, but its playable!:) (demo of ut2003 that is...)

o whops! um, i didn't acutally read up on the MSI card, i doubt it would be faster, just because almost every 128mbt version for the ti4200 bottlenecks like a mofo from what i've hear, COMPARED to the 64mbt version of the ti4200, haven't heard about that MSI one, i'll try looking it up and see whats up
