updated the list for 0.7.1 with jabos d3d 1.4 .
tested Azimar's 0.4beta sound plugin and is the best choice at the moment, just needs to be a bit faster and a bit more compatible...0.30 (old driver) is still real fast (like 20vi/s more on my pc).
also tested every game with the new 32-Bit Core:, gives a nice speed boost, making Azimar's 0.4beta much beta on my system. a few games are no longer compatible. they r listed as 'broken' in the almost playable section. added a few mroe games too.
some notes, automatic geometry doesnt work as it requires another line in the .ini file, so u may need to alter urself, i have put on the list when that needs changing, i.e to internal/external .
also if screen ratio seems a bit wrong, try usnig the dx6 plugin as apparently it fixes stuff like that.
other graphics issues should be solved or answered at www.smiff.clara.net , if u didnt know already. or the pj64 documentation supplied with pj641.4 for jabos plugin info.

besides the occasional crackle in sound (most likely my system, turn of sound and 3 times faster anywho), conker runs so damn nice, and mario kart, its got the least amount of graphical corruption of all the n64emu's

u can get a kinda workable solution to reduce crackling. try reducing or increasing the 'depth buffer' (i think its called that) in the audio options for both azimar's (old driver) and Rev2.2. definitely has helped me. also, for the tony hawks series, it seems u need to use Rev2.2 and select 'Use 0.21 audio style' to get better but not quite as good as before sound.
i think i might go through all my games again with azimar's 0.30 Rev2.2 and see if theres different results, as when it does work, the sound quality is the best ive heard.
abdulla
November 28th, 2001, 06:34
playing with the buffer helps a bit, i think its more a hardware thing tho, eg. winamp play crackles when lotsa graphics bandwith is used, which is an acknoledged problem, the graphics card takes up too much bandwidth and steals some from the sound card.
btw how much does vBulletin cost?

RR 64 (U) works sort-of-ish on dynarec if you disable TLB . Just make sure you don't crash into other cars too often or the screen will get nuts for a second with your car being teleported out of bounds and then magically put back onto the track.
Funny.

Noote:
Have you rescanned your roms lately w/ goodn64 0.999.6?
there shouldn't be that many missing dumps i dont think.
or if they are demos they should just be renamed to .v64 (since you can't byteswap them) so goodn64 will scan then
NooTe
November 29th, 2001, 08:42
Flow,
Yes I use goodn64 0.999.6...
I say gooddump when goodn64 add a [!]
I say baddump when goodn64 rename without a [!] (it can be hack or whatever)
I say unknowndump then goodn64 don't rename dump (it can be really a unknown dump or a very bad bad dump) !
I just finish to reorganise all my dump set (now reduice to 330 dump then I deleted all duplicate dump in unknown or bad status) ...
I near finish now :)

Heya, i noticed while updating my own unofficial ini, that in v0.7.0 alot more games now needed a lower protection CF=1, as opposed to the default CF=2 (counter factor). Great work guys, as if you compare PJ with 1964 (all performance specs) in 1964 looks to have great compatability, and both video and sound have better performance points at most times, even when tested with a PII 350/128 Ram/ATI 16 All In Wonder (compliments of my wife, lol) >:) Much thanks, as the functionality and features are just awesome, and on my machine runs Very Stable.

that's pretty low spec for an n64 emu, 1964 is basically as fast as like Uhle, this version is SO much better than the last version.

Hmmm..if 1964 just crashes when you load a Rom, then theres a few things that could be wrong. I see you have a decent system, and you shouldnt have any problem with specs like that. It could be a Audio or Video plugin (set wrong or incorrect type for your system), another thing like mentioned above, is also check the ini settings for any game (right click) and try lowering your CF=2 (default) to : CF=1. Some need exspansion pack, and others (very few) cant use TLB, but the latest ini should be the best to grab. But your system should run 1964 nicely with no prob. The system i have is a athlon 900mhz 256 Ram/win98se/dx8.1/radeon all in wonder 64, and my low end tester is PII 350 mhz/128 Ram/win98se/dx8.1/ATI all in wonder (16), and both systems run 1964 nicely.

yup just updated. im not sure if i should put the entire list on the thread, as it seemed pretty popular to my surprise, as a download (over 2000 downloads, i was expecting like 30, lol) . oh and cheers rice/schibo for linking it on your site. i hope u dont mind me updating, there were some big mistakes that were found when testing both of Azi's plugins. like turok doesnt freeze with REV2.2 . also after unzipping a whole load of roms, they didnt crash.

That's crazy, most games require 6 buttons.
How do I get sound?
Does this work well on a Radeon7200 WindowsXP PIII667?
or are the textures garbled on other systems?
sk8bloke22
December 7th, 2001, 14:53
should work fine. make sure u get the newest drivers from ATI, otherwise ur system will be fine with 1964, its that fast. oh and with sound, the emu comes with 2 audio plugins - 0.30 Old Driver and REV2.2, both by Azimar. In the switch plugins option choose the Old Driver one. Also make sure u download pj641.3 to get jabos d3d 1.3 plugin for gfx. and with the pj64 plugins, also copy nrages input plugin. with nrages plugin u can use like a mouse setup for first-person shooters and stuff like that, so u dont need to worry about not having a controller.

nah, its good. ppl keep downloading it, every day like another 50 ppl hav d/l it. this page is linked on 1964's official site (cheers guys), so u get loads of newbies who arent members downloading it. with the first file over 15000 ppl had d/l it. this is like my fourth redo. and ppl still are using it. its worth keeping it there. (unless of course, rice/schibo wanna use something else, which is cool with me).

I notice in the rom browser in 0.7.2 Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Round 2 hasnt got anything written next to it but for me anyway its completely playable, the menu text is a bit weird but pefectly understandable.
Same goes for Mickeys Speedway, the characters have a little bit of a weird stretching thing going on.
Also you can change Carmageddon 64 from almost playable to playable as I was able to play it just fine with the mentioned plugins.
Im using the new azimer audio plugin, Jabo D3D DX7 1.4 video plugin and Nrage's Input plugin.
If you want screenshots of any of these just say.

oh yeah, whoops....
couple things.... dr. mario 64 should be on any compat list ini, it is a very popular game, and i'm biased, but seriously, if you haven't played pokemon puzzle league, you don't know what your missing... of course both those roms have pretty major jabo conflicts, so you probably WON'T be playing them any time soon, but really, they need to be on the list.
and secondly, if you want to email me your ini, i'll send you a cd of my band. it's booty shakin' funk from california. if you have a good connection, you can go preview at :
