Spiderman
Man, did you see this movie? Geez, i didn't think it could be so bad. It was horrible. I mean there was so much hype over it and after just seeing it, i was shocked when i walked out of the theatre. They had such a great chance to make something out of it but they failed. Don't get me wrong, the special effects were amazing but that was the only good thing, i'm not even going to comment on the way they adapted the storyline and then there were the awful acting moments by all of the cast and the shocking camera movements by the crew. I think the people who made this film should be kicked out of the business. They had a great chance to make such a good film and they pissed on it.
If you've seen this POS, post away giving me your opinions;

I think Me, My Older Bro, and my little bro, felt the same way you did after you left the movie theatre... Talking about the Story line being sooooooo Old. Beattin Down... ETC... The Special Effects Were the only thing that amazed us...

whoooo OK, Macca, THANK THe LORD! im not the only one thinking that, I thought Spiderman was terrible and very predictable, and all out boring, YEAH it was cool to watch the special effects and laugh at a few cool parts with his new found powers, BUT seemed like every other movie, HELL they even said it in the beginning: "This, like any other story, is about a girl..." something like that, just thought it was a flop, terrible and boring, don't waste your money, wait for rental.
Episode 2? Hmm...if you appriciate the story line that goes along with star wars you'd like it, but if you wanted to see Anakin use more of his lightsaber moves and see more crazy lightsaber action fight(except for yoda:)) then sorry, this one didn't provide much of that, that was most of my friend's complaint is that they didn't see enough lightsaber battles and crap, they just wanted hella action, if its not that then say it;) just wondering, cause i thought it was great;)

damnit whta is it with people and jumping on the "i hate that film because it has a big budget" bandwagon... the film as a story was great, im not a comic fan nor ever have been... they're too uninvolving for me and short... but this took the spiderman world into some depth, it really built the peter parker character, and i honestly felt quite satisfied having watched the movie...
sometimes i wonder if you people like any movie thats not LOTR or Harry Potter...

as someone slightly involved in the movie business and will soon be greatly involved, I must say that Spiderman was very good. it gave the comic book fans what they wanted and gave the action movie fans some stuff and the specail FX freaks their thing too. it mixed an old plot (plot of the comic book) with new ideas and kept the dialouge at a great level of old overused comic book lines mixed with real everyday conversation. the casting was great and so was the acting. I don't at all regret seeing the movie and i look forward to the next two.

Sy: no one said they dont like the movie because it is a big budget movie...in fact they said they like the effects so that means they like the money that has gone into it:P The fact is films are just getting crapper and crapper all the time. I use to like going to see movies but now they are just so boring and often the same damn thing over and over:plain2:

It was a decent movie which didn't live up to the hype surrounding it - they should/could have made Spiderman so much cooler.
In the end it was a chick flick, but not the worst I've ever seen. It was always too hyped for what is essentially a kids movie - you would say the same thing about Harry Potter.

A friend of mine has it on SVCD.. Not bad quality, either. (The quality of the copy, that is - not the quality of the film.. ;)).

I actually thought it was a pretty good movie. The acting all round was great (especially Defoe and MacGuire), the plot was pretty decent (remember its a super hero movie), action scenes were great, as were the graphics. Sure it had some stupid bits, like the 'mess with one newyorker and you mess with us all' post-911 crap, and some of the love scenes, but overall it really wasn't that bad.

i would have hated the film as much even if it was a cheapo production. It just did not appeal to me at all. oh, and i also hated the harry potter movie, amazing books, shithouse conversion :D
Josep - great :D don't you love it when people share the same opinion as you :P
Martin - What proggie is that?
Fuel - You raise some valid points

Macca,
the program that Martin is using is Direct Connect.
Grab it here http://www.neo-modus.com/
note: On my computer the program was extreme buggy and slow.
note2: On some 'hubs' you must share at last 15 gig. (and i only own one 10 gig HD :()
note3: fix this by (fake) sharing your HD (in network options share file/ printer)
