i think that they're all great, and that yoshis story was a good straying from the mario concept, but i feel that mario 64 was THE mario game. it pushed graphics and gameplay where they werent beefore, and it was a great game. not to say that the other mario's werent (except mario rpg imo-terrible), but mario 64 set the standards for all future games and hopefully mario sunshine will be good as it looks like it's using the same basics

SMB3 was WAY better than mario64. and i'll tell you why. . .FIRE POWER!! i've said it before and i'll say it again, if i see one more mario game without Fire Power I'm going to go crazy. oh and i voted for SMB3 but i also loved RPG just as much.

firepower in 3d? must be a fire ring then :), cuz in that 2D game I only buttonsmashed the fireball button :)
