Making screengrabs of video clips...

Can anyone recommend a decent method of taking still grabs of video clips playing? I used to have some great software but since a recent reinstall I`ve mislaid it. I really need to make some grabs of a video clip I got with my digital camera today and some other video clips.
Recommendations wanted urgently! :)

Lets see, you can do it in Virtual Dub, but its rather difficult and will only do AVI.
I have a proggy called TView that will do it easily for AVI.
Cineplayer DVR will do it on MPEG and MPEG2 but only on Windows 95/98 and only for 30 days.
