Is there a way to move a saved game file to another game?

Hello. i have been playing OOT:MQ on Project 64. i recently found out about texture packs for EMU games. i finally figured out how to use them in game, only problem was i had the wrong version of master quest. i guess i need the European version for my texture pack to be compatible (Phantom7's pack). but, my original MQ file has my saved game on there and im pretty far in. is there a way to move my save to the European MQ file?

thank you.

please don't bump your own thread with in a day of your post.
Many members don't login for weeks at a time and some are away months or even years.

You can try coping the save and renaming it but I don't think that this will work.
You maybe able to trick it with a save state however this also may not work.
Last option that I have for you is to rename all the texture files from (E) to region code of your rom (this stands a better chance of working).
You will need a good file renaming program that can process 100's of files.

You may just as well play a new game thru an enjoy all the new gfx.

Renaming the native save is your best option. It works most of the time in my experience, especially if you are not changing emulators.

Agreeing with Clements. The native save format should be the same across different versions of MQ.
