Free pilot (X.org) with Mupen64plus 1.5 = bad FPS

Hello, I would you speak about an issue with my configuration.
I've already installed the ATI pilot for my graphical card on my Debian 6.0. But with it, I can't use Mupen (I don't know why... so I've sent the issue on the website). I come back on X-server.org, free pilot for my driver (and it's better !). Thanks to it, I can use Mupen and with my game GoldenEye, the FPS was 15. So it's impossible to play !
Do you know how can I increase my FPS ?
Thanks you :)

I don't understand much about Linux, but what are your computer specs anyway? GoldenEye requires a decent (average 2010+) computer to run at full speed.

Are you using the default video plugin (Rice video)? If your computer is not fast enough, you can always try arachnoid/gln64.

Edit: It seems like he's using open source drivers for his graphics card. AMD dropped support for older cards for newer XServer versions.
