Its about time saturn emulation started getting more recognition as its my favorite system and although I have a modded saturn to play my fav games on being able to play them at 1280*1024 with filtering would be amazing.

I think it will be a couple more decades until we see a saturn emu reaching the same state as snes emulation. We do not have enough emu authors willing to reverse the saturn.

although the current ones (fabian, shima, megadeath) have all been working on their emu's for about 2 yrs or more (with the exception of fabien who has for about a year and then some)

glad to see you johny :)

What do you mean a couple of decades for it to get better have you seen the progress that satourne have made recently. OK it is in french so i have no clue but the screenshots are great. Can't wait for a release. One thing i need to ask - if u get an emu do you need to get a bios PSX style or just play???

satourne will very likely have translations available, so that would be no problem. :) (like for the current release there are many exisiting).

and yes - u need to have a bios to run a saturn emulator (they are easy to find though :satisfied ).

Yes it might look nice but the pictures dont show whats the fps is. Which would probally be 5 to 15fps, so to say decades is a bit over the top yes but 5years is more like it in speed being 60 and staying 60.:)

well not only can we hope for optimizations in the core, but imagine how fast cpu's will be in 5 yrs..

christ, 5 years ago in 97.. cpu's were what? 300 mhz?

Saturn didn't have as many shit games as other consoles, because it didn't have as many games, period. lol. But it's had so many more classic games than PSX (NiGHTS, Panzer series, Burning Rangers, Fighters Megamix, VF2, Sega Rally, Virtua Cop series) that it's all the more sad it didn't do nearly as well.

not really..

from my calculations, there were ~270 US releases.

i think the n64 US releases were a few shy of 300'ish... although god knows about the ps1/ps2
