Having trouble having my PS3 pad work on Demul

I can assign buttons and directions just fine but I keep getting this message.

But I already have padDemul.dll in my plugins folder. I wonder what am I missing. :(

Windows Control Panel detects all buttons and axes just fine? If you didn't have padDemul.dll in your Plugins folder you wouldn't be able to assign any keys at all, and Demul would probably refuse to start.
