Hrm, I thought you were from London. Must have mixed you up with blizz. :D

Can a site be more patriotic than that one? Pffft...Americans... ;)

Actually, it wasn't meant to be patriotic. Its just that people always associate eagles with American patriotism. I just like the birds. I like other eagles too, Tawny Eagles, African Fish Eagles, Gold Eagles, Bald Eagles, Bateleur Eagle, you name it. I like hawks too, but they aren't as majestic in their movements as eagles are. I first became facinated eagles when I found a golden eagle that had been wounded way back when I was in the boy scouts. We rushed it to the Zoo here in tyler, and though it will never fly again, he seems to be happy with the other eagles in captivity. Hes still living, and if I hadn't come across him in the woods he'd be dead.

yeh, eagles really are amazing creatures. We go boating in these rivers in austraila and there is always this eagle in the hills, it has been there for ages. well it comes down to where the boats are and flys around. If you are lucky and it goes near you, you can pick up a chunk of meat and chuck it straight in the air. Then it swoops down and catches it right before it hits the water. It is really beautiful :D

My aunt and uncle are both scientists and go around bandind birds. If you have no idea what that is, it means they catch the birds and put a metal ring around their legs so they can be tracked for scientific research. Every now and then I go with then. It's pretty cool. One time they actually banded some kites (no, not those type of kites. These ones are like eagles except a bit smaller). Usually they only do really small birds coz they are heaps easier to catch (you just put up this really big net and wait for the birds to fly in). Seeing all these kites up close was really mad.

The way you catch a kite is actually pretty clever as well. You just sorta drive around looking for one, and then you put down this little cage with a live mouse in it. When the kite sees it, it swoops down and hits the top of the cage which triggers a net to flip onto the kite. It's really amazing how easily the kites see the mice. The kites are like over 100 metres away, and yet they still stop it.

London Whoooooooooooo!!!! :D

anyway birds of prey are damm impressive, especially kite since they just drop down on their prey from above, there's a few in London now apparently living off of the pigeon population.

I had to do a web page for my first my "Introduction to Computing" course in Uni I did the page in Word97 in under fives minutes and then edited out the meta tags :colgate: I got a B in the end too
