Hello
I downloaded the Conker Bad Fur Dar rom for N64. I open it with Project64 and it's say it's compatible... but when i start the emulation, the "screen" become "blue". i have the european version (pal) of the game and i don't know if it's the reason why the game doesn't work. My computer isn't a "bomb", it's only a 500mhz, but i'm able to play to Zelda OOT and to Zelda Majora's mask so i think i'm able to play to Conker. PLZ help me !
What P64 said:
CBFD (E) [!] Compatible
External T.Ok for 1 player (/subcreen -shadow)

HOw many ram you have in your machine?
Cbfd is need serious resources. I advice you to upgrade at least to a 1000 mhz computer and place 128 mega ram in it,.
This is an excellent game don't waste it on a minimun configuration( if you also a budget gamer like who never touched a real n64).

No you can't... 500Mhz might be enough for UltraHLP, but doesn't run nor Majoras nor Conker...

my buddy had the same problem 2... pentium III @ 600MHz, ATI Rage 128, 256MB SDRAM @ 100MHz. We thought it was the gfx card.

Off topic: It's called UltraHLE. UltraHLP is just a patching utility that allows you to do some stuff that you can't do with UltraHLE alone.

(IF YOU DIDN'T REALISE I WAS BEING SARCASTIC) i just hate people who reckon 13fps is playable even when i had (EVIL) k6 500 and a tnt2 i wouldn't play roms because they ran to damn slow...
but my "friend" not naming any names (Nick Cracknell) he had a 16 meg PCI card and he though American McGee's Alice was VERY playable ... yeah right ... it still don't work perfect on my frinds p4 1.9 with a HIS geforce 2 ... i thik the problem is the HIS card...

I think the games are only playable at the lowest specs as these:
800 MHz Celeron, 256 mb ram and GeForce2.
That are about the minimum specs. In small areas, emulation may go full speed, but in large areas, however, it can drop down to 20 fps. Of course, this was tested on Zelda64.

No! That's wrong. When you use 1964 and set the CF to 5 the game is playable on a system below you min. specs. Even the sound is almost perfect.

About CBFD blue-screening : Rage128 issues...
1) startup : black/blue screen for 5-10 seconds (the "Mature audiences only" part) and once that's over you see Conker cut the N.
2) overlays don't appear : the game/mini-game menus and associated overlays don't show. Neither do the in-game text bubbles.
3) in "It's War", the pond's surface is opaque - can't see the eel nor the rings under the surface.
#1 is trivial, #2 is a little annoying when you don't know the layouts but only #3 poses a serious problem to finishing CBFD entirely with a R128.

Hmm...Maybe someone could help me with my Conker problem? Here it is- the first couple of screens come up ("mature audiences," the legal info, and nintendo logo), and then the dancing n64 logo comes up for a moment, then all of PJ64 shuts down. Any ideas?

I have that problem too. It happens to me if I am using n-rages plugin. If you are using it, then try another input plugin like jabo's or the n64 virtual pad plugin.

I don't remember having any problems with NRage's plugin while playing through Conker - at least not with v1.61 of the plugin.

Go figure, I turned the N-Rage Plugin on, and the game works fine now. Thanks, in a strange way. ;)
