Im new here hopfully got right place but i have super smash bros on my project 64 and crashes when on charecter select heres what i get by windows

Please post your computers specs, as well as make sure that your ROM is good.

sorry its a good rom worked before also downloaded a new one it works untill the character select screen it works then when i move my mouse over any of the characters to choose it crashes with that message

my pc is windows vista home premium
im using newest project 64
its a 32 bit os
1 gb memory
processor is amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 3800+
vid card is part of motherboard its nvidia geforce 6150SE nforce 430

Your graphics card has fairly modern support.

Go to Options --> Settings in Project64 and make sure you use Jabo's Direct3d 1.6 as the graphics plugin.

Also install the latest driver update from nVidia. Here's the link:

D3D 1.8 will work fine on the chip, its more likely Vista being an ass.

I agree, it has happened to me before as well. Try to run the emu as administrator. And also, of course, use jabo.
