Conker's bad fur day problem

I am using mudlord's rice video 6.1.4 and conker runs great until it shows the blur effects of conker being drunk. I don't think this happens much in the game but when it shows the effects the FPS goes down really low to about 5 then back up when the effects are over with.

Is there any thing I can do to fix this problem? Is it a known problem? I was just wondering if there were any options I could mess with to get it working better at those parts. Awesome plugin btw.

EDIT: Sorry. I just read the rules. I thought rice was a part of project 64.
