Hello
it has been a while since i checked the forum.
the other day i found mp3s that are supposed to be based on f zero x's
expansion kit music
as you all know the difference between the cartridge's music and the expansion kit's
differ because the Expansion Kit's music is in STEREO
so far, that i know, there is no emulation for the N64 disk drive, SOooooooo
I was wondering if there is a way to replace the rom's music using sound plugins, pretty much the way the textures are being replaced? and use the mp3 instead?

as far as we know, based on things we learnt at zso,
n64 games have about 1 sound file.
this has all the sounds in the game lined up, in random order,
with fuzz in it.

what im trying to say here is no.l

First off this is the wrong forum. This is high resolution texture forum.
The plugins forum is here (http://www.emutalk.net/forumdisplay.php?f=31) ASK there next time.
This has been asked numerous times.
Somehow people confuse hirez textures with sound and ask this question in the hirez texture forum.
Here are a few snippets
Audio Replacement Projects? (http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=39580&highlight=sound+mp3)
load mp3 instead of emulate sound? (http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=40051&highlight=sound+mp3)

Erstwhile this is being moved to the correct forum.

I found this tool http://www.randomsonicnet.org/srz/s2music/s2mp3.html. It allows you to play mp3 files instead of the usual BGM when playing Sonic 2 in Gens. It even prevents the replaced BGM from playing, while allowing the unreplaced BGM to play. Is this not possible with N64 roms?
