Well I'm totally new to this, so sorry if this is something stupid or whatever, but I don't know how to fix this problem.

See I have a Starfox 64 ROM, which it says is compatible, but I keep getting this error while in the middle of the first level.

"Access Violation

While Processing Graphics Data and exception occurred you may need to restart the emulator."

Alright, so I click "OK" and all seems normal, but not even 5 minutes later I get the same message again, so once again I click "ok" and immediately afterwards it pops up again, so now I'm stuck in what seems to be an infinite loop of the same error message.

Eventually, after a while I get a new message that tells me:

"Project64.exe has encountered a problem and needs to. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you were in the middle of something the information you were working on may be lost.

Please tell Microsoft about this problem.
We have created an error report that you can send us. We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous.

Couldn't copy the whole report as it wouldn't let me, but I got this incase it helps.

Error Signature:

AppName: project64.exe
AppVer: 0.0.0.0
ModName: jabo_direct3d8.dll
ModVer: 1.0.0.1
Offset: 000195a4

I had downloaded version 1.6, then downloaded the RDB & GameFAQ v1.6.016.

Here are my system specs:

Mobile Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80 GHz
2.80 GHz, 512 MB of RAM
Windows Microsoft XP Service Pack 2
Display Adapter:
Inter(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller
Sound Controller:
Sigma-Tel C-Major Audio

I wouldn't be surprised if it was my video card...

Your Intel Graphics Controller is the problem. Use Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin.

And if I may where can I download this plugin from?

It should come with PJ64... but If not I'd go find an older version I guess. I just looked to see if it was available any other way... apparently not.

Said plugin is bundled with Project64 1.6

Look in your Settings area and the Video plugin dropdown, in other words.
