Project64 (and by extension PJ64k) is Windows-only, and Mupen64k is only provided as a Windows binary, despite Mupen64 being multiplatform. And no source is available to try and compile from. (Isn't Mupen64 licensed under the GPL?)

So are there any others out there or are those two exes the only options?

I don't know if mupen64 supports or not netplay, but the source code is next to the binaries in the Mupen64 thread :P

That's what I've been using for a while, it doesn't support netplay. That's why the Mupen64k fork exists.

Ouch, didn't read the "k" after Mupen64 :P

Unfortunately most (all?) n64 emulators with netplay use kaillera, which doesn't have a linux edition to my knowledge?
