Donkey Kong Flying

In Donkey Kong 64, I have a hard time doing certain things easy with a controller but difficult with the keyboard like swinging on vines. To access level 2 or active the bananaportal in front of level 2, you have to swing through vines across a waterfall. I've spent more than an hour on this and only gotten halfway across once or twice. A cheat for flying or any other cheat that would help me get past the problems of using a keyboard would be greatly appreciated.

This might sound awfully stupid, but have you tried using a joystick? (or a real N64 controller if that's possible?)

if he had a controller or gamepad he would be using it.

enable diagonal controls and jst learn to use your fingers really fast ... i have the same problem with super mario 64... but i jst purchased a cabled XBOX360 controller and use that instead
