downloaded project 64 last night with a few games. i cant figure out the deal with the plugins. error message reads: graphics plugin missing or invalid, go to settings and choose a plugin. i went to settings, and there is nothing to choose from in the video, sound, or controller sections, they are all empty. so i found a graphics plug in glN64_v0.4.1 but i cant figure out how to use it. its a zipped file, still wont let me open with project, keeps repeating the error message. i have windows vista home premium if that helps, and ive already checked for windows updates

if i read your post correctly: open the zip file and put the dll into the plugin folder then you can choose and configure it from withing project 64

Project64 should come with plugins by default. If not, it could be having read issues with your Plugin folder, or you may have downloaded a bad PJ64.

Reinstall and download from here:

Yet, most likely, the drivers for his video card suck, or the video card is so old that it doesn't work with the default plugins.

Or he might not have enough privileges.

If that were true, he could still select the plugins in the settings.

Make sure you have permission to use the plugins folder (I really don't see why you wouldn't) and make sure the emulator is using that plugin directory.

not in every case p_025

the driver has to support atleast Dx6 for the plugin to be initilisable.

i don't think anyone running Vista has a crappy old video card. At least not so crappy not to run Pj64. But yea, maybe he should update his video card drivers. Had to do this recently to run Halo 2 decently.

Yes, true. I forgot the part where the OP mentioned Vista.
