Majora's Mask - Freezing

I recently obtained Project64 emulator and it's great to be able to re-experience the old games I used to play. However, Majora's Mask (practically the only Zelda game I haven't beaten) has a strange glitch. At random points in the game (often enough that I save-state quite a bit), the screen will go completely black, the FPS rate will drop to around 10, and the sound will become choppy.

I checked with the minimum requirements, and I easily meet those. Can anyone help me?

Could be anything, where and when does it happen? Might help to solve the problem. Assume you have PJ64 1.6, but not sure what video card your using, might be causing a problem also. :)

Probably the unemulated day transition. Just wait it out or use Jabo's D3D6 1.52 with seft-rendered textures disabled.

@Clements

Thanks, waiting helped. Now that I think about it, it usually happens around the day/night transfer. I'll just avoid walking into a cutscene when the clock is right next to 6.
