I can't get it to work. I've got an .inf file but unable to install it under windows XP.Any suggestions?

Exactly what is a trident pad? And are you sure about wheater the drivers supports OS's built upon the NT kernel, i.e NT/2000/XP. There are two possible scenarios, if you want more you'll have to make them up yourself...

(A.) The driver is not designed for the OS you are trying to install it on...

(B.) Actually there is only one scenario...

But there is a hole slew of possible solutions, or course of actions that eventually will help you to find a solution / workaround,

(A.) Install the device on a 9x box, does it work?

(B.) Search the net for newer drivers, does XP ones exist?

(C.) Open up your inf file, does it contain the word $Chicago$ at the top? If yes, you are using a 9x driver.

(D.) Install the device as a customary device, does it work?

thanks for your reply. it was , in fact a win9x driver. I managed to install it. thanks!!
