Yes, but most are not supported for GFX....
They are supported just as well as any other region. Of course most of those 2d mahjong games do not work, but for example mario looks the same whatever region u play.

Some j-games will run even though their U or E-version of it does actually :P
Onr example is Yoshi's story. But this is rare.
