I visited apollo's site ( prettty coool!) scooping around and saw compatibility for v0.02.
Just wondering what percentage will it be now (30%? , 50% , 75%,...er....er....100% ?:)

Hrm... perhaps I shouldn't release v0.10. I should make it always require a Ghz machine!!! :)

hmm, let's see, i have got a 1 THz machine.
Look, no joke. seriously.
I just needed to borrow the liquid nitrogen cooler from the life sciences lab and slowly lower my CPU into it.
Then I added a second layer of liquid nitrogen.
Followed by a third layer of Ice Cubes with salt.
And then a fourth layer of Icy water.
All wrapped up in 3 inches of styrofoam, covered in five denim jackets.
And when I ran it, it worked. However, things did not run very well...Windows 98 gave me a Kernel32.dll error everytime I started up Windows, the sound screwed up every way, and I resistor burnt itself out (i smelt the smoke!).
soon, the CPU burned out. That was when I attempted to run Unreal Tournament...

Strange. I have an AMD Thunderbird 750mhz, and Apollo works fine. Maybe you need an Intel 1 ghz to run it. ;)

I am sorry to bring on such a fact but on my computer, PJ64 is not any faster than Apollo (K6-500 Mhz - TNT 2 - Dual V2 - 192 Megs).
Also, Apollo is certainly the ost "PNP" n64 emulator. No ini, db like module .. All you gotta configure is plugins related and default setting oftenly work fine to me.

here is a link
http://www6.tomshardware.com/cpu/02q1/020107/p42200-11.html
from that link on you can see how the Athlon XP chips beats the "holy shit" out of the Intel Pentium4
AMD loses on: SiSoft Memory Bench (big time) and NewTech Lightwave 7b. Thats 2 of the 19 other catagories
If you look at the pages and are noticing that the Intel chip is always at the top also notice the MHz on the chips themselves. It's a 2200 MHz Intel chip against a 1666 MHz chip, a 534MHz difference. (thats over half a GHz ya'know!)
I :inlove: AMD

This is truly facinating! A 500 MHz diffrence and AMD still beats Intel at stuff.
Just imagine how good the new AMD processors will become :satisfied

Is there only one variant of this game? I have messed with it and found where it froze in Apollo. By adding some hacks, I got it to run. I removed the hacks, because I know I need a compatible graphics plugin to use this rom. I don't remember what the title is called that I tried. Same thing goes for many unemulateds. I have gotten them running, but it doesn't seem like there is a compatible gfx dll capable of displaying graphics. Perhaps if you told me the title name, I could confirm if it "works". I would have to do furthur rom hacking to make it completely playable.

64 megs? My bad. That was supposed to be 32... The only dump I know of is Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine (U) [!].
And maybe if you release your patches, Dave and icepir8 and other people can start working on the gfx...

hehe.... the patches are QUITE volatile and timing sensitive. It is not worth releasing those patches... but rather get the rom to work without patches and share this information with other emulator authors.

So true .. sometimes the UltraHLe code looks likes a huge patches database. This is both volatile and certainly not the best way to easily reach a high and reliable compatibility level.

Well, coz it's an open gate for further bugs discovery so what you get on the one side (you get fast results) you lose it on the other (time wasted hunting and fixing further bugs troubles).

You shouldn't feel used... You are our good luck charm and we depend on you :( With you being away for so much, my progress has been almost nothing. I need you back :( You mean much to Apollo.
With programming, there are always new projects. Apollo is not a professional project by any means. Professionals get paid for their work ;) Once Apollo is done, I will move on to bigger and better things, just as you move on to other websites. There is no difference.

awwww.. so much lub :D.. welp as i see it.. i like being a perfectionist honestly.. but at the same time i feel that once a website is working good enugh.. i have to move on to the next one because the time i'll use in perfecting something might not even be apreciated by anyone.. and i could actually be making a new website instead of using the time i have on perfectioning something that nobody would care about.. know what i mean?..
i was being abit extreeme b4.. but this is more on the lines of what i meant.. imagine being so ready with shle or apollo that you guys won't feel like there's a need to actually put more time into it?.. would'nt that be kinda boring?.. i know it gets boring for me when a website is so finished that it can be released.. even though i could do so much more on it.. nobody would care.. other than me of course.. but i too would care more if i started up something new eather way.. hmmm maybe this makes no sense hehe..
