Error help

I am getting the error direct3d failed to initialize. Error code: 8876086C D3DERR_INVALIDCALL, even after reinstalling it. Anybody know how to fix this?

What is your video card, and you have installed the latest drivers for it as well as latest DirectX?

Um, i am on a school computer, i attempted to download the latest directx, but it would not let me since I am not the administrator. How would i find my video card?

Start --> Run, type dxdiag, press Enter. Check the Display tab.

My guess is that the school computers have integrated graphics chips, which are poor for emulation. Updating the drivers might work, but since you are no Administrator, you can't do that.
