1P or VS Mode?
1P is:
800A4B43 00??
Fill in the ?? with a hex value. It will add one to that, then give you those lives continuously. For instance, type 01 and it will give you 2 lives. Type 04 and it will give you 5 lives.
I don't know about VS mode, sorry...
