This is the first time i am submitting to this page, so here we go. My problem is this, everytime i load Perfect Dark or Top Gear Rally 2 on the PJ64 emulator i get this message: "Emulation in a continuous loop, emulation will now stop. I do not understand this problem as i have played these roms before on this same emulator. Please save me from smashing my computer. I will appreciate any help you can give.

My Computer Specs:
Pentium 3 600MHZ
128mb ram
32mb nvidia riva tnt2
windows '98 second edition

PS. My name is pronounced "Lay - Me"

This appear to be bad roms. Check 'em with goodn64, and maybe try to get yourself another ones of those.

I have goodn64 and it did rename perfect dark, but it does not explain why i could play these roms before.I just remembered something, before these roms stopped working i was defragging my harddrive which was then rudely interrupted by "some person". Could this explain the bad roms.

Bad roms act in funny ways. They may work, they may not. They may work sometimes, but not others.

You said your copy of PD was renamed. What is its new name?

Perfect Dark (ver1.0) (u) !

Something like this

Question?

Some of my roms did not get renamed by goodn64 but still work in the emulator. Why?

It means GoodN64 doesn't recognize them, which means they are bad and/or hacked.

Your PD sounds like it's a good rom. This is truly a quandary. I can't see an interupted defragging causing a problem, unless it was so rudely interupted that information was lost somehow. Are any other files/programs acting funny in your computer?

i have tons of bad, hacked, fixed and unrecognized roms.. AND THEY ALL WORK FINE! (well, execpt 4 a rampage b2 that freezes sometimes)

you just need to change the RDB settings to the correct ones

I hope all of your bad, hacked, fixed, and unrecognized roms crash right before you reach the end of each one. :hehe: :P

It is clearly stated that you shouldn't use bad roms :plain2:
Good roms is the way to go.
