Problems with Game controller

i've been having sum problems with my sidewinder game pad, its the game port 1. it works on all my other games (PC and emulation) but when it comes to pj64 it wont work, i've tried the nrage and jabo plugins, but haven't had any luck getting it to work plz help

my specs if needed...

athlon 1ghz
256ram ddr
sound blaster pci 128 digital
win xp home edition
geforce2 mx400
