final fantasy 3

i have NDeSmuME and i downloaded the NDS file for final fantasy 3 and when i try to play it a message comes up on a black screen that says

"Unable to access backup memory. Please try again after turning your system OFF and reinserting the DS card."

what does that mean? do i need to download other things to play this?

It means you cannot play this game and there is nothing you can do to fix it.
