Zelda Black Text

Alright, so I have searched and Searched these boards for solutions to this problem. I have read through many similar topics, but nothings as helped fix this problem. I am playing Zelda: Master Quest. I am using Jabo's direct3d8 1.6.

Here is the specs for my laptop:
AMD turion 64 mobile
1.8 GHz, 960 MD of RAM
SiS M760GX

If anyone can help, that would be awsome. Thanks for your time.

Try switching to Jabo's D3D6 1.5.2. Should work better with your graphics hardware. Black text is probably due to your graphics hardware or drivers missing a certain feature required by Jabo's D3D8.

It helped with the black text, but it is running very slow.

Alright, my drivers are updated and both Jabo's are a no go. 1.6 still has black text and 1.52 has running slow issues.
