im having problems loading games because it said it doesnt have free blocks.

i dont know, i tried uploading the power stone 2 .cdi file and it said i needed free blocks. This has happened the first time.

Is there a way to get free blocks?

Start the bios of dreamcast section memcard and eliminate blocks, or create another memcard and use the vmsbrowser to put this free block card in the emulator.

i got it workin now, 200 free blocks

but now theres another problem...

everytime i try to play my .cdi file it still says "there is not enough free blocks to load".

Any suggestions?

If u have 200 free blocks, u have put in to the emulator and you prop it recognizes you the membcard and nonetheless you it does not work .. sorry but i dont know how help u :(
Make sure yourself of that apart from having the memcard, you have putting in the emulator and you it recognizes it, another thing does not happen to me

Use VMU Explorer (search the board).
