when i try to open project64 it says...

Direct3D failed to initialize your HAL device make sure you have a properly configured graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0

i dont know what graphics card i have but its about 2 years old, is it probably compatible and if so, how can i make it work?

u must have a tnt2/vanta, geforce, new ati cards(dont know the names, i have a geforce2), or something else probably not from 2 years ago. there's probably a list on www.smiff.clara.net somewhere

Make Sure You have a 3DVideo Card & Dont have Your Monitor Displaying at 24-Bit Colors, 16-bit Only
