does the ATI Radeon 9600xt support pixel shader 2.0? if not what are the most affordable cards that do?

Not sure but if you want a heap upgradetry and get a nvidia6600gt.

hej, don`t forget that Your Radeon is AGP card and this GF6600gt is PCI-E

9600xt does have pixel shader 2.0 and it is as good as a Geforce 6600(non GT) .

The AGP 6600GT would be a better choice since it performs a good 20% faster then the 9800Pro.
