This is fucking. I start the game, play a little, and then(!)!PAF!(!) the games hangs, the screen blacks out, returns to the game and says:
VPU recover has recovered the graphic card because etcetc.
I have recently buyed an Ati Radeon x800 PCIexpress 512MB.
I tried all the plug-ins and none. Someone knows what I can do?
My sistem(I'm a noob, but I READ the rules):
Pentium 4 3Ghz
1GB Ram
Acer 19" Widescreen(Maxium resolution 1440x900)
Ati Radeon x800 PCIexpress 512MB
I only say 3 things:
Help me, please!

I usually use the no sound plugin and have the CF on one. . .

vpu recover means your card got to hot and had to stop, id check your temps if i were you.

try other heavy graphically taxing games play for a little and see if it happens again

Progress: I tried with chankast. I have good news and bad news
The good: Isn't the enulator
The bad: Is the card
I didn't have this problem before. I payed 200€ for this card, that has a big fan, and it gets hot? FUCK YOU Ati!
Oh. And one more thing. only crashes with enus. With PC games, it works fine.

try turning off the vpu recover feature
this is often the only issue because the driver detected the "crash" wrong.
just try to install the new driver from https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=14549 (catalyst 6.6) and turn the vpu recovery off.
then everything should be just dandy ^^
