I was wondering if netplay was integrated into the 1.7 beta yet. I would definitly be interested in donating to the project to get this verison if it had netplay integrated with the newest core :). I'm a poor college student, so I can't afford to donate unless it has netplay :/.
Thanks,
Mike

just be honest and say "i'm not interested in it unless it has netplay" or "it's not worth $20 to me until it has netplay"
no, 1.7 beta doesn't have netplay yet. there's several things to do first.

Jeez, they must be lowering the standards of SATs and stuff to get into college.
So, you're poor... so poor in fact that you can only donate if it has netplay?
Lord almighty.

All I wanna know is what's in the beta so far that's not in 1.6. I'd be happy to donate if there's something at least new. I really love the PJ64 program and have been playing with it for years. Since I hardly ever post or come in here; thanks a lot to the guys at PJ64. I'll probably donate anyways. :bouncy:
PS- I did search first to try and find what's in 1.7.

you can load high res textures with the 1.7 video plugin,
you can load roms from 7zip's i believe....

net play will be in, actually the main core has gone through lots of changes .. like smiff said we will have a new feature list some time, hopefully in the next couple of months it will be easier for us to do all this

By "instant plug-in switching", do you guys mean that PJ64 now has per-game plug-in settings like 1964? That's a very useful feature.

no i literally mean it can change plugins without restarting emulation. this is more useful for testing i guess. but per-rom plugin setting is definately coming. netplay is also coming but later.

Not yet, keep meaning to do it, then keep getting distracted adding other features/fixing other bugs. Will get to it some time.

All I want to know is that does the next version of Jabo's plugin have hardware Framebuffer emulation.
But yeah, like quall said, as long as it plays ma games I'm happy with it.

I don't really understand this request, what is it you want exactly? (in effect)

I'd donate $200 for debugging features a la Nemu64. :P

Something along the lines of this: http://www.emuxhaven.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6123
Then again, maybe what I want is already implemented and I'm making empty requests.

Well memory dumping and a memory viewer are already in so really the features have already started to be implemented :)
Of course the best way to make sure these features are implemented is to be part of the process making sure such features are requested correctly and checked for correct support instead of only jumping in once done.

Wow! I didn't know that had been done. But doesn't Jabo's plug-in only use Direct3D?

A good debugging adition to audio pluggin would be sound stream mixing. Like being able to turn off or change the volume or even dump the audio streams for certain sound layers.
