Tony Hawk Pro Skater /2, slow!!

I only get like 30 fps on these games.. I`ve never had so low frames before.. Every other games run at full speed.. Is this a known issue or?

System spec: Athlon xp 1800+, 256mb ram, asus v8200 geforce 3 delux still at 21.81 drivers. running 98se. using a wd45gb disk..

'Sync game to audio' must be DISABLED in order to run the Tony Hawks games at full speed.

I wonder why my Tony Hawk 2 (E) good rom is always freeze for 2 or 3 seconds in playing the game? It's a good rom, you know.
