odd conkers problem...

well I play conkers with pjv1.4 and it was fine for a long while... then one day it won't load. as in when i click to load rom, after the counter goes to 100 % (lower left), i get "Pj64.exe has critical error and will be closed by windows; ... blah" that message.

so like I know that i didn't do anything different than any other time i've played; no new plugins or anything... like can anyone giveme any ideas about my problem?
