As the title implies, I'm getting bad FPS drops during cutscenes. Any suggestions for getting it to run at a normal rate? Any help is much appreciated.

You are really getting tired of people posting problems and not mentioning their specs. :D

I kinda feel for you.

....hasn't anyone ever thought to write a bit of code to prevent people with empty spec's boxes from posting.

also, you can set those boxes to be required to be filled in to be able to sign up.

Sorry about that, it was about 5 a.m. when I made that post and I wasn't quite as aware as I would have liked to have been. (I had made a mental note to mremember the specs, but I obviously forgot)

Windows XP HE SP2
CPU: 1.6 GHz Pentium 4
RAM: 640MB
Video Card: GeForce4 MX 4000 (64mb)
Sound Card: Intel Integrated Audio

I'm using version 1.6 of PJ64.

Try Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin if you aren't using it already.

I tried Jabo's Direct 3D6 last night and again just now, and it only helps slightly. I see an increase of about 3-4 FPS during the bar scene. Also, I'm using default settings for both.

You have a similar setup to my mom's PC and I experience slowdowns in the cutscenes too.

Mune, you could increase the counter factor for that game, since it is one of the slowest ones on N64.

Thanks Poobah your suggestion worked beautifully. ^_^
