Zelda is a fantastic game... except that I can't acquire any more than 99 rupees! Any further gems I collect don't add to the total.
At first I thought there may have been a money bag upgrade or something I needed to find but after researching it appears there is no such item...
I have survived so far in the game but I am now needing the cash to buy certain items like the heat-proof tunic etc
Very frustrating and no-one else in the forums seems to have had this problem..
Any ideas??

aaah woops. so it was a gameplay thing after all. i was never too bothered with going back to the skultulla house - at least i didn't think it would be that important. i thought when i first went there that fixing thme up might be something optional for a more complete ending sequence or something.. i was getting frustrated so i checked it out on a 'real' nintendo 64 and some guy who had been playing was no-where near where i was up to but had well over 100 rupees so i thought that it was something you had from the beginning and that some project64 code or something was limiting that particular variable to 99.. he must have been diligently going after the skultullas.. ok thankyou
