View Full Version : How to fix framerate at 30 fps?????

Some games like Soul Calibur are designed to run at 60 fps. So when I use Vsync a have no problems.
But some others like Resident Evil Code Veronica and Shenmue run at 30 FPS on Dreamcast. When I emulate these games with Chankast they run very fast. Is there any way to lock framerate at 30 fps in Chankast?????

Overclocking the Dreamcast will help, that's all I can think of really.

Or underclock my CPU maybe?????

You mean your own CPU!? I guess it would help a little but that's a little drastic.

i have this problem too...
in some areas the framerate is limited to 30, others 60...do you understand??

it shows- 30/30 or 60/60 FPS

That's because Chankast's frameskipiing kicked in, or then some areas indeed runs at a lower, *fixed* fps value.
