Yeah I see, I installed it, and I don't have the textures for the Market Place when you're adult, and the Market Place when you're kid isn't working great, only some of the textures are shown. Does this happen to you?

Well could someone .rar or .tar.gz2 his hi_res folder and upload it somewhere, so that we have the COMPLETE thing? It would be pretty helpful for everyone, including newbies!

I did exactly what it said, but still it doesn't work. But that's probably because the Djipi release I have dates back from December or something like that. If someone could make one, it would be awesome!

Djipi: what would you think about the idea that you can play your own textured game on the Nintendos Revolution via a rom editing tool + flashing it to the SD card? damn.... and 1000s of other ppl play the game like you with your textures too! I would feel like ....WHOA! if i where you :D
All we need is the hardware and the tool for doing this ^^
I bet you have the contacts to the emu scene to ask for help (emu autors).

I don't want to look like I'm complaining but I'm curious if there's any textures for the item names in the subscreen in English?

It's not a big deal, the names are just kinda blurry. Do these textures exist anywhere?

Hi everybody, well I dont speak English so well, please sorry for errors.

Well I ever was reading the topic of the Rice Video 6.1.1 beta 10, and I was surpriced about the releases of source code for that plugin, but believe me or not I never see the topics about "High resolution textures projects" until the notice of source code.

So the last three days, I was reading all, absolutely ALL the topics and posts of Hi-res projects, I'm really surpriced, practically I was waiting something that already existed, so I'm downloading many packs and that notice of the final update, drive me awesome, but I have some questions.

The pack update is not complete? I need the "Djipi's Final Cel Zelda MOD.7z" of 76.2 MB, and over this I install this update "Zelda Final Update.zip" of 49.8 MB? if that is correct, how many updates exists? only this, I need only that 2 archives?

MUDDY!! you posted a torrent of 90.76 MB, that torrent have all necesary and update files to play that HI-RES mod? inclusive the button fix than I read for somewhere? because if that is right with the torrent we have EVERYTHING NECESARY AND UPDATE FILES to play that, plase tell me YES because my conection is really poor and I cant download directly, a torent is ideal for me.

Could be nice than all the projects, organizes their respectives packs on the first post, with release date, and more options for download, I'm sure than many people can help to offer to the comunity many ways to download it, a torrent on every project really could be nice, and practical for all.

Thank you so much to all people involved on that scene, for all that job and effort, I want to be able to reward all yours work. Many Many thank you.

Simply yes.
It has the original pack, the menu fixes for the main and the ingame menu, my umlauts, the tweaks that could be found in the other thread and the update( properly installed).

Ok I does that question because on the first post Dijipi say that his mod is complicated to install, I downloaded the files for a torrent than muddy posted, inside the files doesn't exist any readme, please I need the better config for this mod, somebody can tell me something? or upload the readme file!!??

Thanks

M[u]ddy
April 7th, 2006, 22:12
With complicated to install he meant the way, how to integrate the update into the old pack, without having double textures.
This was already done in the torrent.
The readme only describes how to do it and has nothing to do with the configuration of the Rice plugin.
The perfect settings for rice are very different for each computer and sometimes even variate in different games.

Well, we havenīt heard from Orkin in a looong time, so iīm not so sure. Djipi got it from him for testing purposes, and to help him with the pack. Donīt ask Djipi to get the plugin, he made a promise to Orkin to keep it to himself, so heīs not gonna give it to you. Not EVER, unless Orkin gives green light.

This is a bad idea. I agree that Djipi is extremely talented, but alerting the big N about our little website might just get us shut down. Nintendo is famous for closing emulator sites. Yes we don't share or give out locations for roms, but who knows what might happen if they cought wind of what's going on here.
I suggested sending the celda pack to a video game mag, and it wasn't met with much approval for the same reason

The thing is that what you're doing is not illegal AFAIK. You're just creating new textures which are loaded without modifying the ROM. Modifying the ROM (the software) is illegal.

I don't know what Nintendo may think of you, but they should be proud of having such fans.

Djipi
May 10th, 2006, 12:37
i use wind waker style so i use some of wind waker texture and that is not really legal. Work on texture an modify the style is ok but reproduct (even if it's not exactly the same) other texture is illegal (copyright....)

Djipi, I have a humble request. Last year, I was watching this project, and I see that it has grown immensely in the year that passed, but... the parts of the menu that are missing in English are a bit jarring... I was hoping you could either include the French Titles (I bet I could live with those) or just chop out the actual title, or even just put a Block Letter title over them... it's just so sad to see the beautiful screen missing it's top quarter.

AleX_XelA
May 30th, 2006, 20:13
Well it seems the problem with my mod is that the .torrent I downloaded wasn't complete, I've been looking closely at the files and I'm missing some of the textures, could someone re-upload or create another Torrent out of the COMPLETE package? (with the update?). It shouldn't take you longer than 10 minutes and I'm sure you'll help 10 times as more people.

Anyway, I was skimming through my OoT Cheat list, and I saw the Arwing code, well I was wondering if the Arwing was also re-textured? Can someone who has the complete package confirm this? Otherwise it shouldn't be too hard to re-texture.

Well, props to him for actually giving a link, after reading 10-15 of Emufans negetive posts, I must have just stopped paying attention and missed where he actually DID link the help thread, and on another note, the stickied help thread was certainly not self evident considering federali was not in my knowlede a part of the cell shade mod, making that sticky somewhat deceptive, I come from other emulation communities that have help threads very specificly labeled to a specific project, but as I see, things are a bit different here, thnx for the replys none the less.

seriously people, it's not that hard for anyone to find roms. i got one word for you guys that ask where to find roms, GOOGLE!!!!!!!!!!! lucky me though, i never have to look for roms, i got this kick ass n64 romset that has all 2614 known n64 roms. it's freakin' huge though, wont even fit on a dvd when compressed, unless it was a double layer dvd, but those are for rich people.

Great work. I'm currently downloading. I don't post often, but this is a time to do so. I have a old version (about six months ago), and I finally figured out how to use it. Anyhow, tremendious work, and I can't wait to see your MM HiRes project. Best of luck, Penguins.

PS... When GC emulators get better, are you going to do a HiRes pack for that too? Maybe on the Twilight Princess. GC emulators arn't very fast, yet (looking forward to Gekko Gamecube Emulator W00t W00t!! 30FPS average!!!) they still support dumping, not loading yet though, so we wil have to see. Anyhow.... Hope so!
I stopped playing it because the original textures are horrible.
They look somehow worse than ocarina's.
Shame the Rice plugin doesn't have all the zelda effects well emulated.

Hey, I looked back 5 pages! I didn't see anything pertaining to my post.
Maybe I'm just stupid, but I highly doubt that. AND 2 or 3 posts above me there's nothing on it.
EDIT: I think I get you now. I wasn't asking for a ROM. someone said :
"how come it's only 50megs?"
"It's not the whole pack."
"oh."
I thought that ment that there was more to retexture.
like this was only the fixes. not all the things that were retextured were here.
EDITEDIT: I was damn wrong! it's not the whole pack or I didn't understand the directions.

I thought, I had given Djipi, all the English Textures required, I do believe I made them all.

Could someone make a Consise List of all the elements that are not made in English, so I can discuss it with him, next time I catch him online.

Enzo Dragon
January 8th, 2007, 11:36
I would be happy to made such a list, mdta. Do you want the texture names, or just a list of what's missing in english?

mdtauk
January 8th, 2007, 11:45
Well a list at first, then if I need, could you send me the original textures.

Enzo Dragon
January 8th, 2007, 11:53
Sure thing. I'll get to work on that list right away.

Enzo Dragon
January 8th, 2007, 12:34
List:
----------Before entering a game...
1. Everything except the t's in "Press Start"
2. All letters except for "T" in the name selection
3. "File 1", "File 2", "File 3", "Copy", "Erase"
4. "This is an empty file", "There is no empty file"
5. "Please select a file"
6. "Name ?" (name selection heading)
7. "End" (name selection)
8. "A - Decide", "B - Cancel" and the dot between them
9. ----All text under "Options" needs to be replaced.
10. "Erase which file ?"
11. "File erased"
12. Death counter (### in the "open file" menu)
13. "Open this file ?"
14. "Quit"
15. "Yes"
-----I may have missed something. In any case, it seems that the only thing textured in terms of language is the T.

--------In the menu (map/equipment/items/queststatus)
16. All standard text, including that which displays in the lower bar.
This includes the text used when saving a game, but does not include the Map's "Current position" display.
18. The Market's "Current location" text on the map.
17. "Sold Out" (note: Only the "Greyed" version of this is missing)
---Although that accounts for all of the language that is missing from the menu, I'd like to note that many of the item's "greyed" versions are missing, including the hookshot and quiver, and many of young link's items.

----Everywhere else
Since all of the language elsewhere use the same textures for all of it's text, there is only one thing missing here.

18. The semicolon. ; Note: The semicolon in this game is only used once, towards the end of the game, during Zelda's speech before she gives you the light arrow.

There may be other thing's missing. As far as I can tell, the only full set of language textures present are the action buttons. The generic text is nearly done, just needs the semicolon, as far as I can tell.

STUFF THAT'S NOT LANGUAGE IS MISSING, HOWEVER!

----Many of the pre-rendered images are not included in this pack. I'll list them for the hell of it.
1. All of link's house
2. Marketplace (adult)
3. Marketplace (kid/night) note: marketplace during the day is present
3. Temple of time (night/day/adult)
4. Area between the marketplace and hyrule field (night/day/adult)
5. Every house in the game, as far as I can tell.

-----But that's not all! There are normal textures, too
1. Marketplace Entrance (day/night/adult), viewed from Hyrule Field
2. Death Mt (when viewed from Temple of Time/Market)
3. Death Mt smoke ring (kid/adult)
4. Some item's greyed versions (when they can't be used)
5. Some equipment's greyed versions (Possibly more than just the quiver)
6. The rock walls leading up to death mountain from Kakariko Village.
7. Marketplace Entrance (day/night/adult) viewed from Hyrule Castle
8. Some of the sky's textures when it goes between day/night and night/day.
9. The Sun when it is setting/rising.
10. The top texture of the stone walls in the construction site in Kakariko
11. Butterfly's have transparency issues.
12. The back's of signs.

I think that's just about everything missing from this pack. If anyone knows of something else, PM me and I'll update this list (so we don't flood this thread).

Well first of all, I was only responsible for the Menus, HUD, and Text in this pack, so the other bits are not down to me.

Secondly, I did have them done, so as for them not working, I am confused. Djipi only made the pack compatible with the European ROM, I believe, so ensure you are using that one.

I will talk with Djipi As soon as he comes online, if he doesnt appear later today, perhaps you would like to get in touch, and I could send you the files, and you make them work for all ROMs, and we can release it as a seperate pack.

Attached are screens showing it in english. I only have the textures I made, so the sky is the original textures. I dont actually play ROMs so I didnt need the whole pack, to work on it.

Enzo Dragon
January 8th, 2007, 13:17
I know you aren't responsible for the other textures. I just figured that if I was going to list all of the textures that are missing, I may as well list them all.

I have tried both of the European ROMs, and the problem remains unsolved, but thanks for the advice.

As for getting in touch so you can send me the texture files, that'd be pretty sweet. Should I try you on AIM?

Edit: Just fully understood what you meant. Alright, awesome! If Djipi does not have the files laying around, and doesn't want to fix his pack, that is something that I could easily do. I don't have any problems with taking your textures and applying them to the (U) dumps (though I doubt that compatibility between the ROMs is the issue).

I know this isn't the support topic for the mod, but I was wondering the same thing.

Heh... sorry to double post, but not long after I posted my previous message, I figured out what I needed. However, this isn't what I'm really making this post for.

Now, I spoke to Djipi via PM approximately a week ago, so I have the clearance for what I'm about to post.

I've noticed that the pack works wonderfully with Master Quest, but have noticed something I'm not really fond of. The pack was intended for ROMs with the header of "THE LEGEND OF ZELDA". Now, since I love this pack, I prefer to use it with both Ocarina of Time AND Master Quest. However, with the ROM header in MQ written as THE LEGEND OF ZELDA, both games share the same save file, which causes glitches in the long run. To combat this, I changed the ROM header back to "ZELDA MASTER QUEST". However, the pack no longer worked with it, so I figured out what to do. I manually edited all 6,278 files, changing any instance of "THE LEGEND OF ZELDA" with "ZELDA MASTER QUEST". Yes. MANUALLY. 6,278 FILES. It took ages, but eventually, I completed it. I also edited the folder names, so they had English descriptions. A few folders are what Djipi called them, but it's nothing to really worry about.

Why is this relevant, you ask? Simple. I've been permitted to share the pack with anyone who wishes to use it with the ROM labelled ZELDA MASTER QUEST, without worrying about it conflicting with Ocarina of Time.

Hey Inorigi no Yume that sounds like a lot of work but I'm not really sure I understand. I have Master Quest and it look likes all the textures are loading but they don't! Im not sure if this is how it should go C:\Program Files\Project64\Plugin\The Legend of Zelda and then have your Master Quest folder folder or what? Thanks and I appreciate your time and hard work I just wish I could get it to work! Thanks again.

Actually, it's C:\Program Files\Project64\Plugin\Zelda Master Quest

That's how it loads.

This mod is awesome! However, I would like to point out a couple things:

Maybe its just me, or is the water not as transparent as it used to be? I noticed this in the fishing pond at Lake Hylia because the fish were harder to locate.

I dunno, but the textures in Hyrule Castle Town don't look right to me; they seem out of place with the rest of them.

Other than those two things, I'm in love with this texture pack! Job well done! :D

http://rapidshare.de/files/17170396/The_Legend_of_Zelda.7z.html I combined both packs and uploaded it to rapidshare. ~80MB
decompress it with 7zip (www.7-zip.org freeware) or winrar 3.50+

1) That link is dead. Could some please re-upload the complete pack as I cannot find any downloads for the first part only this final part (which I have now got but don't have an other parts).

2) There are links to the complete pack on torrent. But no one is seeding so it stays at 0%

I would be very greatful if someone could help me get the full pack as I dont want to start playing until I get the menu fix and the first half of this mod.

Thanks all.
